Do you think AI is going to flood the market for Digital Art?

Is it me or 99% of the non-fungible-tokens on opensea, rarible, and Twitter are really ugly/gimmicky? The ones promoted are endless copies of 'insert animal' + sun glasses + useless accessories.

I was genuinely interested in buying a non-fungible-tokens to display as my profile pic or maybe zoom background. I was looking for an avatar that looks nice, not some basic monkey with his tongue out.

Scrolling opensea was very painful and it did hurt my eyes. So... I was left with the idea to create my own but although I can draw and have some sense of esthetics, digital art was way beyond my skills. I then decided to use THE tools of the 2020's aka artificial intelligence. Yes it is somehow lame but so are the 4k copies of apes with a tiny accessory variation. My value added was not in the drawing but in carefully selecting the prompt and tuning the algorithm.

My idea for the collection was the following: if you ask a machine to draw a profile pic, at least ask the AI what they think would be the avatar of their revolution over humans. Et voilà!

What do you think about AI generated art? openAI recently released dall.e2 and you can use the art generates for commercial purpose.
