Do you do test transactions and how do you do them?

I’m interested what people do with test transactions when moving significant amounts of crypto….

So we talk a lot about sending a test transaction. This mostly makes sense especially when the address gets added to an address book/whitelist so you can be super confident the second transaction goes to the same address.

What doesn’t get talked about is making sure you control the receiving account. So moving some crypto from the receiving address. To my understanding this is where Optimism got screwed recently but I may be wrong.

I hadn’t thought about this until I started trying out a passphrase/25th word. I was so unsure what the hell I was doing it occurred to me I needed to ensure I could control the address before I felt comfortable using the address for larger amounts.

What do people do other than have a minor coronary when moving significant amounts?
