Discussion about Hardware wallets

Hi Bitcoin Community,

I have been reading here for a very long time but rarely become active. Recently a Thread where lots of people question the safety of Ledger Hardware Wallets has gained popularity on this sub. I would like to establish a fact based discussion about this topic because I see a huge problem with the advice given in this recent Post, many comments seem to me like they have been written by marketing teams of different hardware wallet company’s and old Bitcoiners give advice that is completely unsuitable for the average mass adopter. While I agree with the security of those solutions, it is absolutely outrageous to make it seem like security cannot be achieved by the normal average Joe.
