Details from the $100 million multichain hack is now surfacing. This now looks like an insider job or the Chinese Authorities have something to do with the hack.

Multichain was hacked for over 100 million not too long ago and no one knew how, the team was silent. They have now come out and gave their story on what happened. A brief summary of their claims:

CEO Zhaojun was interrogated and arrested by Chinese police on May 21, 2023. Computers, phones, hardware wallets were confiscated. User assets locked on MPC addresses were transferred abnormally to unknown addresses on July 7. Zhaojun's sister transferred remaining user assets to addresses controlled by her but was later taken into custody on July 13. They no longer have access to the domain, so they are forced to cease operations and urges the community not to use the Multichain service.

Seems like they were amateurs. No operational security at all.
