From top to bottom this story is sad. But more so just…weird
So her son got into crypto from someone through instagram…already a bad start. Invests 500 and makes profit. Then when the mom is struggling financially the son tells her about it and she does the same thing but with more money. Gives the scammer 4000 then eventually invest 80k, gets portfolio up to 100k and the scammer ask for 62k for taxes and once she questions it, poof.
I have so many questions. How old is the son, why tf did he trust in an Ig message. Why didn’t the mom question giving a “contact” through instagram 80 fucking k. Did she ever even have access to the account? It said family and friends got involved, did no one question the legitimacy of the method?? What a cluster fuck.
