CRYPTO TRANSFER VULNERABILITY?

I have encountered a strange case suggesting a possible system glitch or hack. I wanted to transfer some BTC to my account on Binance. I went into my account, opened the deposit section. There I scanned my address to transfer the BTC. I then transferred some ETH as well.

BTC never came. ETH did. Checking I found it was sent to someone else on Binance. Binance confirmed this. I opened a ticket. I don't feel I'm getting an adequate response. I think the problem was within Binance and not with a virus on my pc as support claims. They want me to open a police report before action is taken. They have all the info about the suspect account. I think first should be a serious scan to see the account's behavior. Assuming I am right and the problem was on Binance's end this would signify a glitch in the system or a threat to users which should be seriously addressed. If the problem was on my end, this means that all users should be wary of sending crypto to Binance. That would promote a 2FA like solution to depositing funds (address verification). What I find most distressing is the lack of real interest to deal with the situation, the difficulty in reaching out to Binance, and having a real answer.
