Crypto Influencers shill shitcoin then steal from their own communities and claim being hacked. Then gets caught lying by internet sleuths

Another controversial memecoin endorsed by crypto influencers on twitter has been rugged. The shitcoin JUGS was promoted heavily on crypto twitter by an influencer BitcoinBaddiez who claims she was the cofounder of the said memecoin.

The cofounder BitcoinBaddiez stated that devs had full control of the wallet and ruugged while the devs state that they were hacked. The deployer or the supposed hacker sent ZachXBT a message on chain saying that the twitter influencers involved with JUGS were lying and wanted to rug all along.

The tweets were later deleted by BitcoinBaddiez and she has since made her account private. A leak of a private twitter message just shows how unapologetic and shameless some people can get for some money.

On further investigation, I found that this was not the only instance she scammed crypto out of people. She has a history of scamming men by catfishing and getting crypto from them although this could be swept under the rug as they were fair transactions made by consenting adults.

This is not the only instance a crypto twitter influencer has scammed their followers. These cases happen quite often and yet people fall for them over and over again. One thing to take away from this is don't take financial advice from people online and definitely don't buy in on something shilled by a crypto influencer. No one is responsible for your crypto other than you. If you do choose to invest in a memecoin, invest what you are willing to lose. It shouldn't be more than 1-5% of your crypto portfolio ideally but it all depends on one's risk tolerance. Also do check for locked liquidity, renounced ownership, verified contract and not a honeypot. Even after that it cannot be always gauranteed that you won't be rugged so invest wisely my friends.
