Anyone else feel like since the start of 2020, the nay-sayers who take joy in other people's suffering are at an all time high? - the type of people who have a problem for every solution? the ones who ''didn't invest in that Bitcoin cos' the dog ate my homework' types.
Slightly nihilist but the amount of 'I told you so's' & 'told you it was a scam' 'how's crypto/stocks going' seems to be at it's peak or close to...almost feels slightly bottom-y.
Crabs in a bucket mentality & it's heightened in these economic times & imo way worse in working class areas.
We all learn this the hard way sadly, excluding your immediate family or best friends, VERY FEW, IF ANY, will be happy to see you succeed.
When your investments pump you were ''lucky'' or ''early so anyone could have done that'' & when it dumps it has ''finally crashed'' or ''was always a scam, see i told you''
Irrespective of your investment success, the fact you are bold enough to take risks & try to change your future speaks volumes. It's always the nay-sayers who won't progress in life & why this ''broke mentality'' ensures most people remain poor.
I'd say I can't wait for the vindication of proving these people wrong, but likelihood is I won't remember their names...
TL;DR - taking joy in other people's suffering isn't a net positive & a broke mentality leads to always remaining broke - silence these people with your success, that's what hurts them the most.
