I'm new to blockchain.
Let's say I want to build a social network using Blockchain.
It is an android or IOS app, so all users need to access the features is to download the app.
There is also a website version that can be accessed with popular browsers.
So when you register an account, you become a node.
Each user is a node.
People's phones are on most of the time, the nodes will only take resources when they are using the app.
They can also opt to be a miner of course.
The idea is, the service is useful enough to outweight the idea of your device supporting the Blockchain.
So all in all, is it feasible to force users to become nodes? Will it take up too much of their battery or data? What if only when connected to wifi?
