I apologize if this answer is elsewhere or this is the wrong place but I am legit stuck. So I’m not 100% beginner in bitcoin or computers but I’m trying to set up my own Bitcoin node on a rasbperry pi 4…. Long story short , I’ve successfully set up the Pi (with microSD with Umbrel OS, external storage SSD over 1TB, connected with an Ethernet cable to a nearby mesh router). I have also successfully downloaded the entire blockchain as of 5pm central US Time today (see pics below). - I basically did this how I thought it needed to be done (that is - downloaded it to the Pi, but using a web browser on a seperate laptop - “not secure” 192.168.86.220:2100 (in other words the IP, SSD, and port or the Pi).. now , my question is …… how do I get some kind of UI on the Pi… ???? What I mean is that no matter how many times I “log in” locally to my Pi I’m simple left with a terminal that loops back forever asking me to input my “umbrel login” and password. — image below… surely I’m being dumb somewhow in that, now that the Pi is set up and the entire blockchain downloaded I need (or want) to leave my connected laptop alone and simply use the Pi to both run as well as “see and interact” with the Umbrel Os, and by extension, some kind of user friendly UI - like the one I see in my browser on my laptop (image below). Please go easy on me, in my little experience with this it’s probably something easy I have overlooked. (Or in some weird way, is the Bitcoin node UI always need to be accessed from a browser or such on a different machine?? ). Thanks In advance. [link] [comments] |
