Recently, the amount of bitcoin mined has increased to an all-time high, breaking the previous record from earlier this year. Data from industry watchers Blockchain.com and Coinmetrics show that on March 15th, the total computing power required to generate Bitcoin blocks was greater than 140 exahashes per second. This is a big increase from just over 90 Eh/s at the beginning of 2020 and surpasses the previous best of 113 Eh/s last month by a wide margin.
