Binance says “No” to the statement which describes that it was approached by Russian authorities to hand over the client’s personal data

The recent news wandering around, given by Reuters recently, states that Binance, the world’s hugest Cryptocurrency Exchange’s head had a meeting with Russia’s Financial Intelligence unit in Moscow. The meeting states that the former asked to deliver the customer data which can help in finding the main suspect behind the crimes that are happening in their places. The Russian Authority expected the names and addresses which can be a shred of great evidence against those criminals.

As per the report from the events from last year’s April, where Rosfin, a Russian Agency was on a mission of tracking millions of dollars in Bitcoin(BTC) which was raised by a Russian opposition leader named Alexei Navalny who was imprisonment. Moreover, the report also justified that Navalny was utilizing these pays in funding to uncover the corruption prevalent in Putin’s government.

However, Gleb Kostarev, the head of operations of Binance from Eastern Europe as well as Russia has made up for the decision to lend the data to Rosfin. He also added that he had ended up with this decision as he has no other choice rather to only accept it.

When we look at the other side of the same coin, Binance is stating that Authorities from Russia had never been to them regarding the Alexei Navalny’s matter. They also added that the exchange was actively seeking compliance from Russia’s Government.

Cryptonary recently added that the exchange is looking up in expanding into Russia and the other nearby countries.
