Binance banned in Ontario Canada, What does that mean

Hello everyone. It has come to my attention that we in Ontario Canada are being kicked out as of Dec 31st, 2021. Heres a link to Binances statement https://www.binance.com/en/support/announcement/ba03469c86f34546bd25faf414730733

So heres what I gather, we are in a restricted region, but are getting kicked out on new years eve. Fun!

now for my question. What is actually getting banned, unregulated trading options, or buying selling and hodling on there as well (I know I know...). Would I be able to get my crypto out if I held past this date, would I be permanently locked out. The broadness is a bit disappointing, but oh well. Hope you guys can help me out.
