As a relative newb, who is reinvigorated by the crypto space, I’m excited for the future… how about you?

Relative newb here - but here’s why I’m excited.

But first some black story …

I’ve been holding since around may 2021. Admittedly, I got into it because of doge. I had been aware of crypto and initially wanted to buy some BTC early on, but was too technologically inept.

So as Doge hype came in early 2021, I remembered I once was interested and figured why not, so I learned how to buy dodge on Binance and had some fun. Eventually after that all died down and I made a little cash, I invested it all in BTC and ETH and have enjoyed taking profits when I can with those. I toyed with different alts for a while, played with trading and then came the crash. I kept my coins in, believed in BTC and eth and let it ride.

Today: the past few months have me reinvested. The market is showing signs of healthy growth and the ETH update went great. I have been toying with an AI trading bot making small amounts every day which will add up over time. But beyond crypt - there is so much to be excited about. With chatGPT 4 getting so much talk, I can’t help but think this will help fuel the crypto sphere not only because it will help by furthering the technology and software necessary for mass adoption, but as well as getting people excited about emerging technologies again.

In addition, seeing the excitement around Reddit gen3 avatars is a big sign. I bought my first NFT because of it and don’t even feel silly about it. It has real use value. I love my little avatar and already can’t wait for gen4 to get more to mix and match with. The Reddit avatars really are a relatively unique, shall we say, limited, piece of art that has actual use value on a popular platform, not like some of the stupid images than can just be screen capped and used.

Finally, while this is a bit tongue in cheek, I can’t help but find it interesting that the rise in crypto market coincides with the fall of traditional banks. ETH with its nearly guaranteed 4% return on staking is really a big threat to the banking industry as we know it.

I donno, maybe I’m just high, but I think there are exciting things for crypto headed our way in the next few years. As a newb who really is mostly just interested in the world and how it operates and engaging with new things and not necessarily someone who has a deep and vested interest in cryptos success necessarily one way or another, I just can’t help but feel like if I’m recognizing this utility again, there’s something in the zeitgeist that says crypto is coming back into vogue.
