I follow news since 2017 and investing since 2021 (unfortunately started a bit late)
I remember in 2017 nobody was talking bad about alts, it was common for bitcoiners to spread portfolio 80/20 or even more. Almost every bitcoiner was holding some eth, ltc and others.
Now if I mention alts in bitcoin sub, I am immediately called an idiot, and they explain that there is only one coin - Bitcoin. They disagree that alts have any value or purpose other than scam.
What has changed? Is it because too many people lost money with alts? Or is it because there's too many memecoins, vaporware and scam?
I mean among millions there are some developers who take their projects seriously and invest their free time to develop them, isn't calling every project shitcoin too harsh?
