I'm new to ethereum and I'm trying to roll out a private blockchain for my small company, who wants to track people and the devices assigned to them. I've basically been assigned this task and have no help from within, so I'm turning to you for some help. Their idea is to be able to create one NFT for each user and one NFT for each device, and link the device to the user. I'm not certain this is the right way forward, but essentially they want an unassailable record of which devices are assigned to which users, and to assign a unique identifier to each user and device. My initial thinking is that since this is going to be a private blockchain and we have limited computing resources for this, it doesn't make much sense to do proof of work/proof of stake internally - it might be best to use clique for a proof of authority solution here. But I'm finding myself questioning whether ethereum and NFTs are really the right solution for this problem. Can anyone chime in with some thoughts on this?
