A theory regarding why there are only 21,000,000 Bitcoins.

I recently read that after the French Revolution, the revolutionary government wanted to establish one scientific system of measurement. In doing so, they created the metric system. They aimed to set 1/10,000,000th the distance between the North Pole and the equator as the meter. This was the "natural" length. Then the distance between the North and the South Pole ( half the circumference of the Earth ) would be 20,000,000. Since Satoshi was planning to mine 1,000,000 Bitcoins, does it make sense that the reason why Satoshi made 21,000,000 bitcoins is because he wanted the "natural" monetary unit to be 20,000,000 ( 21,000,000 - 1,000,000) ?
