Hi everyone, It has been 239 days after the Ethereum merge from PoW to PoS. Time to see some statistics from how the supply has changed and what the difference would have been if there was no merge. Note that these numbers are based from the day of the merge until now. The supply change in numbers: Supply change of ETH and the current supply Supply change Ethereum The supply decreased by a total of 223,503.45 ETH in which 646,153.53 were burned and 422,599.28 ETH was issued. The decreased supply has a value (in dollars) of $395,748,618 which is a significant amount. The current supply is 120,297,586 ETH. In the latest meme coin mania a lot of ETH was burned, so this event wasn't so bad at all for ETH holders! The supply change comparison between ETH (PoS), ETH (PoW) and BTC: The supply change comparison between ETH (PoS), ETH (PoW) and BTC This graph shows that with ETH (PoW), the supply would have been increased by an average 3.245%/year, resulting in an increased supply of 2,556,795.19 ETH. For ETH (PoS), the average decrease of supply is 0.283%/year. If we compare it with BTC, which has an average increased supply by 1.716%/year, it's a big difference in yearly inflation.
